Copying the famous stage of the equally famous film Gone with the wind, this was the response from the Mayor of Berra to two speeches that follow, presented to the City Council this morning, December 12, 2009.

I write this statement, for the following two simple reasons: • Clarification
and declaration in respect to clause 6: Election of Directors pertaining to the municipal town of Berra, the Council of the municipalities of copparese;
• inability to be present at today's City Council;
With reference to the appointment I want to remember that the appointment it as directed, but the city council, as suggested in a previous session by the Chairman Mr. Zaghini, reproaching myself, there are situations where there are party rules, logic part. Here this is one of those cases. The majority party coalition Development and Solidarity Party (Democratic) party of which I am still a member, party center-left in its place the local institutional (Municipal Department) has asked for weeks a discussion on the method of indication of their representatives on a new and important institution which the Union of Municipalities of Copparese. But this request someone if they are screwed. I wonder then where is the logic of party and when not? Often it is mentioned in this forum and blames a "small man who feels and thinks he has super right to choose and do what he pleases." Here in this case I think it is the same approach used by our Mayor. Sue must ratify the choices made earlier in solitude or to settle personal debts. Here you violate the logic of party and democracy in one fell swoop. You do not want to allow even internal discussion.
Today dear colleagues for the first time, I can not, and I'm sorry, to attend the city council. Previous family commitments prevent me to do my civic service. And 'that's what it is, of civic service that city councilors do for the common good, sacrificing time and energy engaging. From careful reading of the agenda I do not think there is found among the subjects a rarity, an extraordinary, an urgency that requires the convening of the council on Saturday morning, at lunch time! I think this is a stance, a choice is not shared or individual selfish reasons, short of a whim! There are some simple rules: common sense, the ability of human resource management, teamwork, respect, etiquette, etc. This is simple ... that govern the gist of the meeting of civic coexistence and life. Here, with the choice today, I think it has crossed the line. I ask again, and without any controversy, that the council should be managed with these governing. It 'a lot? To me and many do not like.
Finally I want to send my best wishes for the work with colleagues who will be elected, recognizing them as of now, majority and minority, the legitimate representatives of all our citizens within the new council.

Dear fellow members, here we go again, once again I have to deal with the period of notice of the City Council, We sincerely hope to set aside a sterile controversy that is beyond doubt, which focuses on the Mayor and myself. If Grillanda proposes to continue with the meetings at 21:00, the mayor contends convened at 18:30, if Grillanda tries to mediate at least for 19:30, the mayor convened in response to 11:30 on Saturday morning, a Council Comunale, I say nine items on the agenda, not only Grillanda kidding, it can also accept or to reckon with, but making fun of the entire City Council and the professionals who work around the Board.
I invite you to browse your fellow directors to call and try to identify which of the nine points in a program that prevented the character of urgency to convene the session next Monday or Tuesday evening at a time, at least decent.
Sixteen counselors, a policeman, a town clerk, are paying the whims of those who prefers the personal antipathy to the important post he was to perform for the community Berrese. Today, people who sit

Now I ask that this openness is reciprocated in some way, do not ask you to publicly share my remarks in this session, because I'm sure and I agree that a group is united in front of his representative, but I am equally sure that the choice of this convening, at least anomalous, has not been willingly accepted by a good part of the directors of the majority, so I ask that in the majority group and here I appeal to my colleague Parent Pozzati, we discuss the possibility of changing the current legislation City and consider the fact that the City Council appoint a chairman other than the mayor.
I am convinced that many people who sit on the benches of the majority have the characteristics necessary for them to perform this task, I am also convinced that the mayor has the dignity to question my proposal in order to make productive the meetings of our Council Hall.
